I hope everyone is having an excellent summer. As it comes to a close, we are excited to have you back in a week or two. Please read all the information below for band camp, this includes auxiliary, band, dance line, and majorettes.

July 20-23rd 2021
8AM-12PM - Rookie Camp
1-5PM - Percussion/Auxiliary
Rookie Camp is for all students were are rookies this season and those who were rookies last season! Since we did not march last season, we want to make sure everyone is caught up. Rookie camp is for rookie percussionist as well. Auxiliary must attend rookie camp in the morning IF their instructor sees it necessary.
Percussion/Auxiliary Camp is for ALL students that are percussionist or auxiliary (majorette, dance line, color guard).
Students ARE allowed to stay and eat lunch on their own during the 12-1 block those days.
Leadership Camp (July 19th, 9AM-2PM)
Monday, July 19th, from 9AM - 2PM is Leadership Day. ALL students in a leadership, captain, drum major position MUST be there. This is so we can talk about our goals for the year and make sure everything is set for the season.
FULL BAND CAMP (July26th-30th, 8AM-5PM)
Full Band Camp is mandatory for all students to participate in the 2021 Fall Marching Season. Students will need the following items for the week:
-Sunscreen
-Water (Camelpacks, Tumblers, etc. OK)
-Hat
-Appropriate Clothes (school dress code and weather)
-WATER
-Tennis Shoes or other appropriate shoes (no sandals, flip flops, crocs)
-Sunglasses (Its a good idea to have some)
-WATER!
-Deodorant
-Instrument
-Good/Positive Attitude
We will be rehearsing marching, music and beginning to get the show together during this week. It is essential that you are at your best. Each day, the band boosters (Thank you!) will be providing lunch. If you do not wish to eat what they serve, you are more than welcome to bring your own lunch.
MONDAY-BBQ SANDWICHES, CHIPS, VEGGIES, FRUIT/DESSERT
TUESDAY-PIZZA (CHEESE/PEPPERONI), CHEESE PUFFS, VEGGIES, FRUIT/DESSERT
WEDNESDAY-CHICK-FIL-A TENDERS, CHIPS, VEGGIES, FRUIT/DESSERT
THURSDAY-HAM AND CHEESE OR TURKEY AND CHEESE SUB, OPTIONAL TOMATO, LETTUCE, PICKLES, CHIPS, FRUIT/DESSERT
FRIDAY - LEFTOVER DAY
The daily schedule will be as follows:
8-8:20 - Stretch
8:20-10:00 - Basics/Drill
10:30-12:00 - Music Rehearsal (Sectionals/Full Band)
12:00-1:30 - Lunch/Activity/Games
1:45-3:00 - Music Rehearsal (Sectionals/Full Band)
3:00-5:00 - Field Rehearsal, Full Band, Drill
On Friday, we will have a water balloon fight. Please remember this is purely for fun and we will not force you to join. At 4:30PM, we will have a preview show for all the parents and families at the band field to show what we've accomplished during camp. Its going to be a GREAT few weeks.
Couple of warnings to all students:
-Do not drink milk or eat dairy for breakfast. You will puke.
-Bring and drink lots of water during the day and at night.
-Protect yourself with sunscreen, hats, sunglasses.
-White clothing reflects the sun heat, black retains it.
-Bring bug spray if needed.
-Do not lock your knees.
