I wanted to make you all aware of some upcoming events that the band and its members will be participating in:
TOMORROW, JULY 29TH- We will be having our auxiliary car wash at WM Grocery Store in Heflin, AL from 10AM - 2PM Central Time. The address to WM Grocery is 1221 Almon Street, Heflin AL 36264 (Right down the road from Marie's Barbecue). If you are not an auxiliary member, please consider bringing your car by to support our group as they try to raise money to buy all of the equipment that they will use this year!
Fundraiser dates: We have a slight change in plan on a couple of our fundraisers that will begin the year. Here are all of the dates that we have planned (so far):
MONDAY, AUGUST 7TH- We will be hosting spirit night at 32 degrees (the ice cream/frozen yogurt place) in Oxford at the Oxford Exchange from 4-6PM Central Time (the store is right beside GameStop and in the area around Target, Olive Garden, and Golden Corral). We will need as many of our guys there as we can get to hold signs and invite others to come grab some ice cream! We will receive 10 percent of all sales during that time, so please get the word out and help us raise as much as we can!
SATURDAY, AUGUST 19TH- We will be hosting spirit night at Papa's Pizza in Heflin, AL from 4-9PM Central Time. This will work similarly to the spirit night at 32 degrees, so we will need as much participation as possible to ensure we raise as much money as we can! Get the word out and mark your calendars so you will remember to show up!
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 12TH- We will be hosting spirit night at Chick-Fil-A in Oxford, AL. More information will come on this as we get closer to the date, but it will be similar to the others. Mark your calendars!!
We will announce additional dates as they are added into our schedule.
ALSO- IMPORTANT- I have handed out a few signs to students that said they would be willing to draw and design the signs we will be holding at the fundraisers, but we need more people to design some. If you would be willing to design one, please let me know or stop by my office and I can give you posterboard to make them. Your help is much appreciated!
LAST THING: Next week is FULL BAND CAMP!

Bring Sunscreen/Closed-Toed Shoes/Shorts(preferably)
DRINK WATER (LOTS OF IT)
MONDAY-FRIDAY 8AM-5PM CENTRAL TIME
We will provide lunch:
Monday- Pizza
Tuesday- Chick-Fil-A
Wednesday- Subway sandwiches
Thursday- Cookout
Friday- Leftovers
If you do not want to eat anything provided, please bring your own lunch!
ALSO, WE WILL BE HAVING A CONCESSION STAND CLEAN UP NIGHT ON THURSDAY OF NEXT WEEK (AUGUST 3RD) STARTING AT 4PM CENTRAL TIME. We thought this would be a good time to have our yearly concession clean up since the students will be at school already and most parents/guardians will be coming to the school to pick them up around this time already. PLEASE MAKE ANY EFFORT POSSIBLE TO BE THERE AND HELP US OUT! The concession stand is an extremely important part of the money we raise for the band each year!
