Saturday 12/2- Parade
We will preform in the Christmas parade this Saturday 12/2, The parade starts at 1:00 pm, however line up may start as early as 11:00 am. I know that is a pretty early line up time, but we may not be needed that early, I will know for sure this Wednesday, as for now, plan to be ready in front of the RES gym at 11:00 am.
Attire- We will all wear our bibbers and dinkles and a Christmas sweater with a festive hat. The sweater is welcome to be an ugly sweater. You are welcome and encouraged to decorate your instrument, however you must still be able to play and see. Make sure that your decorations are sturdy enough that they can handle the horns up and horn down that we will do many times.
Parade route- We will start the parade at the RES gym and end it at the new city hall. When we get to the city hall we will have a performance for the public in which we play the song that we are marching as well as the fight song.
Post Parade- Once we finish our performance at the city hall we will walk back to the band room as a group using the back roads to be safe. At the band room we will provide so drinks for you as I know you'll be tired. Once everything is cleaned up we will dismiss!
Tuesday 12/5-Booster meeting
We will have a short booster meeting, not a lot to discuss, but still a few important details to cover including planning of the post season celebration, please make plans to have at least one guardian per student.
Thursday 12/14- Christmas concert
I am attaching the sheet of paper that the students were supposed to bring home before the break that includes all details needed for the concert. For some people this will be the first ever concert so I included standard concert etiquette. This portion is by no means to offend or lecture anyone, simply informing for people who may not be aware.
As always, should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out!
