Congrats to Lauren, Kaley, and Wesley on being accepted and making RHS proud this weeknd at JanFest at the University of Geoegia! Congrats Lauren Hall, Andrew Luther, and Tommy Haigood on Making District and All-State BAnds!1/17/2015 The 2015 ABA All-State Auditions were today in Albertville, Alabama. Andrew Luther and Tommy Haigood auditioned for the Middle School Band and placed as the All-State Alternate for our district and made the District 2 Honor Band! Lauren Hall auditioned for the High School Bands and made the All-State White Band as well as the District 2 Honor Band! Great job today!

Don't forget, we will be practicing 7th period on Thursday! On Monday, we will be skating after the parade and if you don't want the free box lunch, bring some money to eat at the mall! Monday, January 19, 2015: 6:00 AM - Arrive at RHS and load bus 6:30 AM - Depart RHS 9:00 AM - Arrive in Montgomery 9:30 AM - Change/unload 10:00 AM - Warm up 10:30 AM - Line up 11:00 AM - Parade begins 12:00 PM - Parade ends/change/load 12:30 PM - Depart parade parking 1:00 PM - Arrive at Eastdale Mall 3:00 PM - Depart Eastdale Mall 5:30 PM - Arrive at RHS/unload/dismiss There are a handful of seats available on the charter bus for the Inaugural Parade on Monday, January 19th! If you are interested in riding, seats will be given on a first-come-first-serve (FCFS) basis. You can have your student tell Mr. Childs at school or you can email: director@rhsbulldogband.org. You will receive a reply within 12 hours to let you know whether or not you have a seat on the bus. Itinerary will be posted by Thursday evening.
The January meeting will take place tomorrow night, Monday, January 12th, between 6:00 - 7:00 PM. We hope to see you there!
We have been invited to march in the Governor's Inaugural Parade on Monday, January 19, 2015. This is a really big honor. We will be chartering a bus, a box lunch will be provided, and we are planning on going ice skating at the East Chase Mall after the parade! More details to follow soon.
The January Booster Meeting will take place on January 12, 2015 in the RHS Band Room from 6:00-7:00 PM CST. We hope to see you there as we finalize the Spring calendar of events and confirm the 2016 Spring Trip! |
