I wanted to give everyone an update in regards to next week. Please share this post on Facebook so everyone who signed up for band can see it.
BAND CAMP
For now, we are on as planned! Please remember we are 4-8PM all next week. This is everyone (band, percussion, auxiliary). We will be doing things a little differently, so please be flexible.
Dependent on the weather, we will spend most of our time in sectionals working on music. The first day will be a quick briefing and us working through the first song, as well as getting the Star Spangled Banner and Fight Song under our belts.
Throughout the week we will add songs, and we will do some basics outside. Please make sure your student has the following:
-Comfortable shoes (Tennis Shoes, etc.)
-Comfortable Attire (Please no long sleeved items. Its too hot!)
-Water Keg/Bottle
-Instrument/Equipment
-Music (Please print it off if you can!)
I will need ALL leadership to meet me at the band room on Monday, August 3rd, at 2PM AL Time. We will be getting the basics ready and I will give you a brief look at the plan we want take. Some of you will paint the field, some will help copy music, some will help get equipment ready.
After band camp, and this is important, we need you (the students) to be practicing at home. I am sure you all have seen the three days a week classes and some of you are doing virtual learning. I have no problem at all with the choice you make, but you need to make sure you keep up with your stuff (learning stand tunes, show music, getting to practice).
Lastly, please if you could, share this to other parents. We try to keep everyone informed as possible and we try to share through popular avenues (Facebook and Remind), but we cannot call everyone on the list and update them. Please, if you haven't sign up for Remind 101 so we can update you quickly. All you have to do is text @chfc68a to 81010.
