Our tumblers have arrived and have been sorted for the students. Thank you to everyone who participated in the fundraiser, as it was a great success! If your student had a large order, we put the tumblers into a box for easier carrying. If the order was smaller, we put them into bags with the order form you originally submitted.
For pick-up, we gave the students two choices: They can take them with them after their band class or they could come and get them at a later date. I will be at RHS until 3:00PM today for pick-up. Tomorrow, you can pick them up after the concert since the students will be here tomorrow night. Friday, I will be closing the doors to the RHS band room at 3PM for the break. Please make sure all cups are picked up by then.
The Christmas Concert, December 13th, 6PM AL Time
Tomorrow for the concert, please make sure your student has their instrument, music and anything else they need for the concert at 5:15PM. High school will need to do the same, but arrive at 4:30PM. The band room will be open for students to put their cases and tumblers that have not been picked up will be in my office for pick up after the concert.
Once students arrive, they will be sat in their spots on the side bleachers (these will be marked with either 6th, 7-8th, or 9-12th). If they bring their case in with them, they may put it in the closet near where we perform. Once each band plays their set of music, the jazz band will play a song between transitions. For the high school, we will recognize seniors right before we play our finale. Lastly, we will be asking for students to help us move our percussion equipment and stands back to the band room (due to the rain Friday) after the concert. Parents and guardians who wish to pick up tumblers will be able to collect them after the concert.
Thank you everyone for a successful semester. Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow and I hope you enjoy the concert your students have put together. If you have any questions, please shoot me a email and I will respond as quickly as I can.
Sincerely,
Mr. Melton
