Band booster meeting
The meeting that is scheduled for Monday 9/4 will be held on 9/5 at 5:15 instead due to labor day. We need this meeting so that we can finalize all details for homecoming next Saturday. Likewise, we will not have practice on Monday 9/4
Friday
4:45- Call time
5:15- Depart for Wadley
6:15- Arrive at Wadley
7:00- Kick off
approximately 9:30- Game end
approximately 10:00- Depart for RHS
approximately 11:00-Arrive RHS
approximately 11:30- Dismissal
Uniform
We will wear our full uniform including TALL black socks, dinkles, black gloves(I have some in my office for new marchers and those who lost theirs), marching hat (cavilers), and plumes.
Attendance
I would like to remind you all that band is a performance based class and all performances are test grades. All band performances are required by all members, in the rare event of students needing to miss a performance it must be cleared through the director in order to be excused and not a zero. Parents who have children missing this week but have already contacted me, your child is excused.
If you are sick with anything that is contagious, PLEASE DO NOT SHARE!
Food
Food will be provided by Mark and Dianne Williamson and will be boxed subway sandwiches ham or turkey with chips, dessert, and water or soda.
Stands ettiquite
Once in the stands we will pass out flip books and waters. When in uniform you represent the school, the band, and me. You need to uphold yourself with the respect that the program is known for! When we are at the game, get into the game, make sure to cheer on the team and have fun!
Nobody but band members, band pups, and instructors are allowed in the band section of the stands. I understand the desire to be near your child, but not in the stands, much like you do not see parents on the field with the team or with the cheerleaders.
We will play all of 1st, 2nd, and 4th quarter. We will have 3rd quarter to get concessions, you must be in the stands at 1:00 minute left on the clock failure to be back in time will result in a lap.
Dismissal
When we finish the game, we will play alma mater then clean the stands.
We will ALL clean the band room as well and dismiss once the band room is acceptable. We will be tired, we will all be ready to go home, it is up to each of you how soon that is. If we all clean, it will be over very quickly!
