I have a lot of information to inform you all of in this post, so please take time to read it all and even pass along the information to others who may not have had a chance to see it yet.
First and foremost, we are currently seeking 5 additional sponsors to put on the back of our show shirts this year, so if you know of any businesses or otherwise that would like to advertise on the back of our shirts, please let us know as soon as possible. The cost to have a spot on the back of our shirts is a one time payment of $100, which will ensure the company name and/or logo on the shirt. We have to operate on a first come, first serve basis, so get your sponsors in quickly! Sponsor names can be sent to me directly in my email at jaron.smith@cleburneschools.net . The deadline to receive these sponsors in to us will be next week. Spread the word!
Next, I need to inform you all of a slight change in schedule for the leadership camp day that we will be having on next monday, the 18th of July. Instead of working from 9AM to 3PM, we will change that to 9AM to 1PM central time. So we are essentially cutting two extra hours that would go straight through lunchtime. I have marked these on the calendar, so you can go check it out there as well.
Also, we are in desperate need for a grillmaster to help us out at band camp in cooking hot dogs/hamburgers on Thursday, July 21st. Our original grillmaster is out having surgery and will not be able to make it. Please let us know soon so we can make definite plans for band camp! You can notify us via email if you will be available at jaron.smith@cleburneschools.net
I also want to make you all aware of our night rehearsal coming up after band camp on August the 2nd from 6-8PM central time. While the students are in rehearsal, the parents who are available are all asked to come help out in cleaning up the concession stand in order for us to get ready for football season. We look forward to seeing all of our parents there!
For all seniors: This Saturday I will be in the band room at about 1PM central time to allow for any of you that have not already done so to pick up your uniform to wear in your senior banner photos. I believe the pictures start at 3PM central so feel free to show up any time between 1PM and 3PM to pick yours up.
A last reminder for you all: if you haven't done so, please fill out the contact form on our 2016 Marching Band link at the top of the page and submit it. Also remember to start preparing to pay your band fees!
